The research installation in progress (Febr. 2026 - July 2026) entitled 'Atlas Mnémosyne #02 (d’après A.W.)' is part of my current (2025-2027) post-doc research: 'Remainders: On the Survival of Performance Art Images', conducted at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA)' Department of Art Theory and History, supervised by Professor Fay Zika. Inspired by Aby Warburg's seminal work 'Bilderatlas' (1921-1929), 'Atlas Mnémosyne #02 (d’après A.W.)' brings together images from my live performances with images found in the books of the ASFA Library. In so doing, this project's goal is multifold while exploring embodied methodologies for dealing with archives, while also investigating live performance art's images' potential to survive within the history of art. The installation in progress includes so far 6 black panels 140 x 150 cm, installed on the 1st floor of the ASFA Library. All visitors are encouraged to share their thoughts on the work via a QR code placed by the installation or via the contact form of the website www.performingthearchives.com.
